This review is well overdue. We hired Leanne as our day of coordinator and feel that it was the best decision we made for the wedding. I honestly dont know what we would have done if she wasn't there with use taking care of everything from A to Z. We met with her a few times before the wedding and she took meticulous notes and followed up on everything that we have discussed and requested. On the wedding day Leanne was on top of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE she made sure that our vendors were doing what they were supposed to be doing, answered questions for our guests, maintained complete schedule and order of events and at the same time made sure that we were OKAY with everything. Wedding is stressful enough, and to having someone there by your side who knows what to do is priceless. Highly Highly recommend Leanne. Again, best decision we could have made.

I worked with Leane from Above and Beyond. She was the DOC at my wedding. I think getting a DOC was one of the best wedding related investments I've ever made. Leane made my wedding day run smooth and easy. She was always on top of everything and was literally my right hand. I didn't have to do anything or speak to any vendors. She was always on top of everything. I don't know how I could have done it without her. My husband and I couldnt be happier with her service and attention to detail. I highly recommend her.

From the moment I met Ryan, I felt confident that my big day was in good hands. I originally sought out a DOC because I needed help making sure that me, my groom and our families kept to the extremely tight schedule of events that I had planned out for my wedding day. Little did I know that hiring Ryan was going to give me much more that just that. As someone who has a hard time relinquishing power over to someone else (ESPECIALLY on my wedding day!!) Ryan was as particular and organized as I would be and had every last detail under control. Before I even walked down the aisle, she was able to read my facial expressions -without me even saying a word- and quickly fixed whatever the issue was. At the end of the night, all of my valuable wedding accessories were safely packed and returned to my suite (just as discussed) and all of my tip envelopes and final payments were distributed (just as discussed). Not only did my family love her, but so did all of my vendors - especially my photographers who she so graciously drove back to their hotel after they had difficulty getting a cab. Our venue has since also referred brides to her after seeing what a magnificent job she did at our wedding. Ryan made sure the day was perfect for me and my new husband - from start to finish...right down to the rose petals scattered on our wedding night bed.

Ryan is AMAZING! We met with her twice before the wedding and discussed little tiny details such as vendor payments (she dealt directly w/ our vendors the whole week of the wedding, including that day), tipping, rehearsal (she was a HUGE help there) and had an emergency kit. My sister's zipper broke on her MOH dress! Ryan was there within minutes sewing my sister right into her dress!!! Thank GOODNESS she was there! Disaster averted...She doesn't allow the bride to stress for even a moment. My florist forgot my MIL's nosegay and she was right on it - she didn't even TELL ME because she didn't want to stress me. She made sure that I ate before the ceremony - otherwise I wouldn't have. She was also like another Bridal Attendant; she made sure hubby and I had glasses full and plates full of whatever we wanted the entire night. The biggest part was coordination with all of our vendors. Unless we chose to, we didn't speak to any vendor really (not the band, not the cigar roller, not the trumpeter, etc etc.) - we just danced the night away with our friends with NO worries. She told us who to tip more to and who to tip less to based upon their performance at the wedding. We gave her all the final payments, marked in envelopes. She counted the money in front of us and made sure that every vendor was paid. My husband and I weren't exactly sure what a DOC did at first, but the day of we were SO glad to have her! She was an absolute lifesaver and made our day 200% smoother.

We weren't really sure we needed a day of coordinator when we booked one, but we knew that we did not want to be hassled on our wedding day and we wanted to have one point person so that we could enjoy ourselves. Well, that's exactly what we got. Ryan was on top of everything and ran around that day in the August heat so that we did not have to. She coordinated buses, limos, hotels, bridal party, photographer, the food we wanted in our bridal suite, anything I needed throughout the day, always made sure we had a drink in our hand, (or two if i could not decide) and then took care of tipping all my vendors all night (using the envelopes I had already prepared and provided her with) - but before each one, she checked with me if I wanted to add more to the envelope, or take away... her services made my day so amazing. I can truly say that nothing went wrong. I'm sure that's because whatever went wrong, she fixed it before we noticed. Thanks Ryan - it was just as important to you that my wedding day went smoothly as it was to me - and that's something I am very thankful for! As a side note - she also did the calligraphy for our invitations and they came out great, she is great with calming the screaming three year old ring bearer and she stayed with us till 12:30am! thanks again! It really was priceless having Ryan as part of our big day. And her charges are so much more reasonable than other DOC's we considered... I can't imagine how she could have worked any harder. She is truly amazing.

ABOVE AND BEYOND should change their name to SUPERIOR AND PHENOMINAL. Ryan was amongst the best money we spent on our wedding. I know this review is going to be lengthy but it won’t be nearly long enough to review the OUTSTANDING service we received.I hired Ryan as a Day Of Coordinator. I figured I needed someone to take the pressure off me on the day of my wedding, someone who could field all those last minute vendor calls, and someone who could keep everyone on time. I thought since I did all the planning, I shouldn’t need much help the day of. Boy was I wrong! Despite all of my hard work and planning for my wedding, I did not foresee the myriad of problems that came up the day of. As it turned out, Ryan did all I expected her to do, however that only accounted for about 10% of what she actually ended up doing for me. Ryan exceeded all of my expectations and assisted me in ways I never could have imagined. She truly went “ABOVE AND BEYOND”!!! Ryan was always there to instantly cure everything that popped up, yet she was never in the way. She sat back and observed every detail and when the slightest issue arose, she immediately sprung into action. My florist was running late (and of course he didn’t call) so Ryan started calling him when he was 5 minutes late and kept calling him every few minutes until he showed up. Ryan was ready for it all, we lovingly called her “MacGyver” because she had a fast and simple answer for everything that came up. When my mother needed a pair of scissors, Ryan whipped out a pair of scissors. Just before I walked down the isle, my blood sugar was very low, Ryan pulls out candies. She had pins to attach my veil and kept it in place which was no small feat considering two teeth were broken out of the comb. Hairspray, lipstick, sewing kit, headache and heartburn remedies, she was like a magician with a bottomless bag of tricks. She kept the photographer on track. Ryan even intervened when my MIL wanted to delay the ceremony because people where filing in late. I didn’t care if people were late, I was ready to go, and Ryan handled her like a champ… and with no hurt feelings. Ryan even fanned me when I was sweating like a pig. She even hauled my suitcase around from place to place. She pampered me and made me feel like a movie star and made it all look effortless. Ryan made sure we arrived on time for each destination, which was very important to me. If you’re running late, limo services can charge you. Also, if you’re paying for a hall, you don’t want to arrive late and miss an opportunity to catch your breath before you begin your party. The priests weren’t at the church on time, Ryan found out where they were and how many minutes until they arrived. My MIL was demanding so many photo shots after the ceremony but Ryan was there to keep it all timely. We arrived at the hall with 2 minutes to spare.Some other wedding planners that I spoke to made me feel like they were doing me a favor if I hired them. Not Ryan. Ryan has a very welcoming and warm personality. I felt so comfortable with her from the start, just like how you feel when you meet a new friend. My only regret is that I didn’t consult with Ryan sooner and have her handle the planning from the beginning. She has so many resources, so many cost effective ideas, and a superior level of expertise. Ryan is a cross between an angel and a bulldog. She was everything I needed her to be and unbelievably more. Ryan shined, she made me shine, and she made my wedding the spectacular event I wanted it to be.

Above and Beyond Events were just that...above and beyond anything I could have expected. Ryan was helpful, attentive, and did anything I asked of her with a big smile. From the initial meeting to the day of my wedding I was comfortable with her and never doubted that my wedding day would go off without a problem.

Ryan, did everything I asked of her. She is amazing at what she does and does it with great professionalism and in a timely manner!! My cardbox and menu's were exactly what I envisioned!

I can't imagine how I thought I could ever have my wedding without hiring Ryan. I'm just grateful I came to my senses and hired her. Hiring Ryan as my DOC was definitely one of the best decisions I made regarding the wedding.

Never in my life did I think I would have a wedding coordinator at my wedding. Winning the services of Above and Beyond Events was a true blessing. Ryan was like my little angel sent to help me make my day everything I wanted it to be. She was faboulous. I couldnt have asked for a better prize. She kept me on schedule and was there for me with anything I could possibly need. She also helped with any problems that came up during the day. And trust me, there were plenty. When my dress broke RIGHT AFTER I PUT IT ON she was there with a needle and thred fixing it for me. When my bustle broke at my reception, she pinned up up for me. When my veil wouldnt cooperate just before I walked down the isle, she came up with a quick fix that was perfect. She made sure that everything was where it should be. If I could suggest 1 thing for future brides, I would HIGHLY recommend giving Ryan at Above and Beyond a call to schedule a meeting. Her professionalism, great personality and especially her love of her job will make you want to hire her or someone else from her business on the spot. One thousand thank you's to my angel Ryan!

Leane was amazing. She truly gave 110% percent to make my wedding flawless.

Ryan was there the entire month before the wedding with anything we needed. She took care of all the vendors and made us feel at ease. She also took care of last minute details such as my table numbers and wedding booklets we made for the rehearsal dinner. She is professional, responsive and caring to all your needs.

I booked ryan from above and beyond events I think about 3 months before my wedding because, I knew after having a stressful time planning I didn't want to have to worry about anything on my wedding day. After our first consultation ryan showed the kind of take charge personality I was looking for. she was very friendly and made me feel so comfortable with her I booked her on the spot. She was absolutely great, If there were any issues during the day I didn't know about it because she was running around taking care of everything. I was absolutely a pleasure working with her.

I could go on for PAGES about how wonderful Above and Beyond Events LI is. Ryan, the owner, is nothing short of amazing. She is courteous, professional, and really understands the needs and wants of her clients. I started working with Ryan after I saw her own amazing wedding and the details that she incorporated into her special day. I immediately contacted her about creating an aisle runner. After a QUICK response (she is unbelieveably responsive on email), I had mock-up designs for a monogram, fabric swatches in different colors mailed to my address, and an email asking for the next step in the process. This was without even giving her a dime. The amount of time Ryan spends in perfecting a desired look or design in unmatched for the price she gives - which is incredibly reasonable. After receiving my aisle runner, I was SO blown away by the quality and design, that I had Ryan design pretty much every other paper detail for the wedding - menus, table numbers, donation cards, programs, and other miscellaneous details. Everything was done on quality paper, and the look was EXACTLY what I wanted. I was so thrilled with everything and received numerous comments on everything Ryan created.Just when I thought I was finished using Ryan's services she casually asked whether or not I would be interested in using a day-of-coordinator for the wedding. While I had originally thought about hiring one months prior to meeting Ryan, I had MANY failed attempts at securing someone reliable. Other coordinators I previously contacted either gave me false information, could not keep my information straight (one didn't remember which reception hall I had chosen after multiple back-and-forth emails), or were over priced for the services given. While Ryan was not available on my wedding date, she put me in touch with her other partner, Leane. At first I was hesitant as I hadn't worked with Leane. However, at our first sit-down meeting (which Ryan also attended - a totally unnecessary, but wonderful testament to how dedicated/concerned Ryan is with her clients), I felt immediately at ease. Leane was also professional and friendly. She was dedicated to making my day a success from the moment I met her. I decided to book her on the spot after our hour long meeting. I knew that Leane would be nothing short of amazing on the day-of. The day of the wedding went unbelieveably smoothly. Leane was a DREAM. She did EVERYTHING - and I mean EVERYTHING - including attending to my mother (driving her to the wedding and later driving 15 minutes to the hotel to retrieve a tip envelope that my mother left behind in her luggage!), getting a stain out of my bridesmaid's dress, keeping me calm the entire day of, and solving NUMEROUS little bumps along the way. Without her, the day would have been MUCH more stressful. I'm SO thankful that we decided to book with her. She was with me from the beginning of the day, until the very last thing was packed into the car at the end of the night. She also took the time to buy Josh and I flowers and left them in the hotel room for us to find on our arrival. The small touches that mean so much. I am incredibly grateful for her services.Overall, Above and Beyond Events LI was the PERFECT vendor. The creative talents, reasonable prices, exceptional planning/day-of services, and AMAZING customer relations is unparalled to ANY other vendor I used for the wedding. It's the little details that make an event special, and both Leane and Ryan tended to those little details. If I sent an email at 10 pm, I knew that I'd receive one back before I went to bed. It's that kind of service and realiability that you simply CANNOT find these days. I was SO thrilled that I found that service in Above and Beyond Events and I can assure you that if you need someone to help you with your wedding day details you will NOT be disappointed.

Ryan from Above and Beyond did an exceptional job she was very professional!! I couldn't imagine not having her there with me on my wedding day. She handled every task that was thrown at her, to completion. I didn't have to worry about a thing! She made my wedding day run as smoothly as possible. Above and Beyond Events is exactly that. Ryan made my wedding day perfect and stress free. She took the time leading up to the wedding getting to know me, my wants , fears etc. She Made our day stress free. If anything went wrong I still dont know . Ryan helped a bridesmaid whos dress didnt fit perfect. She had things with her to entertain and relax the children in the bridal party. She was in touch with all my vendors. Ryan was a saint the entire day. She made sure we got to sit eat and breath after the ceremony. She Did everything from help make sure I had everything on right to making sure my makeup was perfect the entire day. She was with me from morning till night.She is very into special touches. For me a huge coffee person it was showing up at the salon I was getting hair and make up done at with my favorit type of coffee. Which calmed me down so much. It was something little but meant the world to me. I have reccomended Above and beyond as many times as possible, My famliy loved her as did my sons and husband.Ryan was everywhere all the time but never not once in our face or in the way .

To try and sum up the experience I had with Above & Beyond Events is going to be difficult. From the moment I first was in touch with Ryan, I knew I had made the right decision. She summarized what she would be doing to help me on my wedding day & was always there whenever I had a question during the entire wedding planning process (I used Above & Beyond as my Day Of Wedding Coordinators). The day before my wedding, Ryan came to the rehearsal dinner so she could familiarize herself with all of my bridal party & family members’ faces. She took the time to meet at 30 people at our dinner & somehow committed all of their names to memory by the next morning.When Ryan arrived on the morning of my wedding, she jumped right in & started helping out. She made sure each member of my bridal party & family knew she was there and if they needed anything to reach out to her. During all of the ‘hooplah’, my flower girl’s dress got ripped and she started crying. Within 2 minutes, Ryan was making her giggle while she was sewing the tear. Even my flower girls’ father was impressed at how quickly Ryan turned her around, saying that normally when she cries, she has a fit for awhile.I have been in a few weddings before my own and I have never seen such calm before the ceremony/reception. Everyone was well taken care of, anyone who even looked cold had a jacket placed on their shoulders (my husband & I were married in January)….it was incredible!At the reception, I never wanted for ANYTHING. If Ryan or her partner Leane saw me so much as lose my smile for one second, they were at my side, asking if I was hungry, thirsty or needed anything. I was treated like a Queen by their company & cannot recommend them enough!I think the best summary I could give, would be to explain how my mother felt about my husband & I using a coordinator. She kept telling me how she felt it was unnecessary, that if you planned your own wedding, on the day of, you don’t need anyone, etc. Before we even left the house for the reception she whispered to me that she was ready to apologize for ANYTHING she said before. At the end of the night my mom was kissing Ryan’s feet…and told her that she wished I had three more siblings so that they could all be married & use her services. The single best decision I made during my wedding planning was to use Ryan & her company. In a word….priceless.They will be the best decision you can possibly make!
