The Fox Hollow really exceeded my expectations. Meghan my bridal attendant was really on top of her game. She made sure I ate after the cocktail hour, and was always there to refill my beverages. Any question I had they were able to answer right away. They even helped to set up my DIY centerpieces! The food, ambiance and entire experience really was amazing!

My wedding was on 11/12/11. I had booked the Somerely room before construction was done and i was very hopeful that the room would be as beautiful as the pictures. Boy was i right! It was absolutely stunning. I had my ceremony and reception in that room and all i got was compliments all day. The staff treated us wonderfully and the food was as yummy as it looked. I'm very happy i chose them and would recommend them to anyone who is looking into having their event there.

Fox Hollow was an amazing place to get married. If I had a choice I would get married there all over again. The employees were great. The matre'd and bridal attendent were very attentive. We had so many call from family and friends stating they had a great time and the food was excellent !!!

We had our wedding at the FoxHollow in the winter garden pavillion on sept. 4th. I have to say, the day of was absolutely perfect. Zach (the Maitre 'd) and Angie (my bridal attendant) were top notch, all over it and everything went off without a hitch. However, there was a lack of communitcation at times prior to wedding that put me off a little. They never told me I had to be there by 6 so when I went for my final payment the week of my wedding they dropped this on me but I already had appointments set with everyone else. We had to rush through rehearsal and dodge guests. Every time I called to ask a question I dealt with someone different thus there was a lack of continutity which caused a lot of stress, I think one person should see your details through beginning to end. Other than that I would absolutely recommend them. Beautiful venue, very prepared and FANTASTIC FOOD

Beautiful, affordable, accessible, professional, elegant. $75/per head for cocktails, dinner, an incredible venue and unbelievable service. They're the best.

Fox Hollow was the 5th Reception hall we checked out. We booked it right then and there!! When we walked in, we waited no more than 5 minutes.. we were first shown the rooms, and right away fell in LOVE with the Wintergarden Pavillion. After seeing the room, we were offered a glass of champagne while going over what would be included, as well as a fox stuffed animal. I honestly thought the price was going to be higher than what we expected..It was just the opposite!! VERY AFFORDABLE! They offered us more than any other reception hall! The day of the wedding: Everything went as planned.. The food was excellent, and the service was right on point! Would definitely recommend this place :)

Overall we were very pleased with The Fox Hollow. Our wedding day was really beautiful, and the Fox Hollow did a superb job. The food was excellent, the grounds are really beautiful (we had an outdoor ceremony there in July), the reception and cocktail hour rooms are very nice, and the service is great. Our bridal attendant was Courtney, and she was amazing. She was alway right there when we needed something, and her service was absolutely incredible - we couldn't have asked for anyone better. I'm still amazed how she seemed to be everywhere at once, and practically could read our minds, taking care of things before we even asked. Our matr'd, Dan, was average. Complaints/ suggestions were minor, but include: Zachary in the operations department wasn't courteous or helpful, 1) there needs to be smoother transition between the sales, operations, and billing departments - often we ended up dealing with someone different in operations, and it was a bit confusing for us, 2) the operations department seems to be way under staffed, and often didn't return phone calls or emails, and 3) the billing department should send invoices or reminders to the customers when payments are due - we had so many vendors to deal with, that an invoice would have been helpful, rather than a somewhat curt phone call from the billing department telling us our payment was overdue and that if we didn't get them the final payment immediately there would be no wedding. We could have done without that lack of classy service, and it's inconsistent with the rest of the excellent service the Fox Hollow delivers.

I was astonished at the lack of professionalism and plain rudemess of the staff. They had too many events happening and couldn't seem to handle it. The maitre d was rushing us around and tried to start the ceremony 5 minutes early. The guests weren't even seated.Duringthe cocktail hour no food was brought to the bridal suite when asked about it the maitre d responded that because the bridal party had not gotten enough photos taken before the ceremony there was not time to eat. The bridal party needed to be with the photographer. Thankfully, the groom made a fuss and a tray with a few items was brought in.The only time we saw the bridal attendant she was yelling at us for some reason or another. She was MIA and then rushed into the bridal suite insisting we line up to go out for the introductions. She did the bustle all wrong. It was completely crooked and she refusedto fix it because there was no time. Someone also locked the doors to the bridal suite so no one was able to get in to retrieve their belongings. The wedding ended promptly and the bridal suite was already being cleaned up before we could say good bye to the guests. They had already begun throwing out personal items such as clothing from the room. When questioned about it the response was too bad you were late. This is just the highlights of how awful the service was. They clearly can't handle the volume of business they have. I am not sure if management has changed or if everyone was having a bad day because my experience was nothing like the other reviews...

I was very pleased with the fox hollow! Our wedding was beautiful and ran very smoothly thanks to our maitre'd Daniel, and BA Courtney! They were awesome, accomodating and attentive! We got married in the garden there which was just beautiful! Cocktail was outside as well and guests raved about it! They did throw in an ice sculputure with our names on it and my name was spelled wrong :( I actually did not see it until someone showed me a picture. My name is not uncommon! Our reception was in the winter garden pavilion which I loved!! It was so pretty! The room was set up beautifully and out cake was AMAZING! We had strawberry shortcake with whipped cream topping and berries on each tier... It's looked and tasted great, again guests raved about it! I did hear the dinner food was ok some dishes were better then others. Overall my family and myself enjoyed the fox hollow, their great service and the venues beauty!

Overall I was pretty happy with the Fox Hollow. We got married in the new room, The Somerley, and we were so incredibly happy with how beautiful the room came out! We did have a misunderstanding with them in the beginning of the planning process, which caused us to have to switch dates, so make sure you get everything they say in writing and you know that you are talking to the correct person when you call. I didn't necessrily find them to be very responsive when I called there, which can become pretty annoying when you are overwhelmed in those final weeks. The food was okay, from what most people said the cocktail hour food was great, but the dinner was typical wedding food. I had expected better food for the dinner because of the reviews that I had seen online. There were three things that annoyed me on the wedding day, although they certainly didn't ruin my day. First, the cake was terrible. I paid an extra $300 to upgrade the cake with fondant and sugar flowers, and it looked like a total mess. The flowers were not the color of the sample I had given them and they were dripping down on the cake, and the fondant was bumpy and looked sloppy. I know that an outside bakery makes the cakes, but it's all done through the Fox Hollow, and I would just assume that the Fox Hollow would choose a competent bakery to make their cakes. Second, the Somerley at the Fox Hollow has private bathrooms, but they are only one person bathrooms. I had guests that were standing there waiting 10 minutes to use the bathroom, when they should have been dancing and enjoying themselves. There are other bathrooms with multiple stalls in them on the other side of the room, and it annoyed me that no one made this clear to my guests. If you see people standing on line waiting for the bathroom, it only seems logical to let them know there are other bathrooms that can be used. Third, when I met with my florist she made it clear to me that I owned the vases that my centerpieces were in. This was a big selling point for me because I wanted my guests to be able to take them home with him. At the end of the night when my guests were leaving with them people from the Fox Hollow were confiscating the vases from my guests. It was incredibly embarassing to have a guest come over to me and tell me that they were basically yelled at and that the Fox Hollow employee came over and took the vase from them. After conficating them from three guests, the Matre'd FINALLY comes over to me and asks me if I purchased the vases! She said that usually the florist comes back the next day for the vases and that's why she was taking them. I found this to be incredibly unprofessional. I should have been asked that question before they took the liberty of taking them from my guests. I still never got one of the vases back from them, but it wasn't really worth the hassel. I know these things probably all seem negative, but overall I really did love the Fox Hollow. These are just small things that annoyed me, and I wanted to give people a warning so that they could make sure the same things don't happen to them.

Very disappointed the day of the wedding at the lack of professionalism, the Maitre\\\'d was rude and unqualified, mixing everything up from how we requested the bridal party to line up to the table seating! To this day I am not sure how many tables were short seats- so embarrassing. Staff was unapologetic and either tried to change the subject or manipulate each situation away from them, it was weird to say the least. This was a far cry from our experience with the FH during the preperation phase, so would not be so upset except that we have called and written the Fox Hollow mgmt. including Mike Tinelli and multiple times to at least make them aware of the problems we encountered, and no one has returned our calls! That prompted this review, bring your business elsewhere!\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

I just have to edit the review that I first made about The Fox Hollow. Yes, The Somerley Room was stunning. The food was excellent. However, I didn't find out until a few days after I posted the review that one of my guests who I specifically ordered kosher food (my BOSS, mind you) was not served any food at all simply because the waitress said she checked with the Maitre D, Roy, and was told that there were no kosher meal prepared for that night. What an embarrasment! Of all people, my boss?? Like I mentioned, I specifically mentioned it to Jen, the events coordinator, when we finalized the menu including the menu for the kids. The moment I found out about this, I called Fox Hollow and was asked to speak with Mike Tinelli. Of course, I was told that they had to do their own investigation and I had to wait for over a week to hear back from him. Not being able to wait anymore, I myself had to call back again to speak to him and I had to tell him that they have to compensate my BOSS to the mess that they made that night. I was told that the best thing that they could do is to offer him a free overnight stay at the Inn at Fox Hollow which I agreed to. I was told that he will take care of it and he will personally call my boss to explain the situation and get his information so they can mail out the certificate to him. At that time, I thought "Fine, it's settled". Almost a month later, my boss jokingly told me that he never received that offer. I nearly flipped out infront of him and immediately called Mike Tinelli again and the calm guy that he is, never apologized and I was told that he should have checked and made sure the certificate went out and unfortunately it never did. I was and still am very disappointed with Fox Hollow and the way this situation was handled. I myself had to exert extra effort to get any action from them.

Fox Hollow was a choice I did not regret! I loved the venue. The people are very helpful and kind. The day of my wedding, this didn't go quite smooth for the reception because guest just did not want to follow seating arrangements and my parents eneded up not having seat; however, Samir my BM and Nathalie my BA sprung into action and took care of everything. The set up of the room was EXACTLY as I wanted. The food was great and service amazing! The hotel next door is beautiful and is an excellent choice to have a wedding!

Run as fast as you can away from Fox Hollow.... I went to look at the Fox Hollow for a possible wedding reception. I had an appointment for 6pm on a Saturday. As I pulled up to the Fox Hollow, there was wedding getting out and it was quiet a mess and too forever to get the car valeted. Finally we get inside and the place was so messy and honestly smelled like feet. After 15 minutes of talking to various people and filling out paperwork, we finally met with the our sales person. He proceeded to go over the menu, word for word (come on, I can read a menu) and was clearly annoyed if we asked questions in the middle of his big menu speech. He proceeded to show us pictures of the reception hall but refused to take us to the actual space to see with our own eyes. Who would book a wedding without seeing the space first! I had an appointment and it was rude I traveled so far and it was a big waste of time. Don't bother looking at this location for a wedding, I wish I hadn't!

We were married recently on 12/3/10. We had our cocktail hour in the Briar Fox Room and our reception in the Garden Terrace. The food, the service, and the people were amazing!!! Everything we wanted and needed was there before we even asked for it! We visited almost every reception hall on Long Island in the months planning our wedding. One night my fiance and I had dinner at the restaurant at Fox Hollow and that sealed the deal for where we wanted to get married. The food at the restaurant was so spectacular and the service was so amazing we knew that Fox Hollow would throw an amazing wedding!! We booked our wedding the next day with Dave.Everytime we went to Fox Hollow it was more beautiful then the last time we were there. They have done so many improvements and additions everything was absolutley gorgeous!I would highly suggest Fox Hollow as the perfect place for your wedding!!!

We had our 11/6/10 wedding at Fox Hollow. Our ceremony was in the Chapel, cocktail hour in the Winter Garden Pavilion, and reception in the Briar Fox. Everything (the staff, food, drinks, decor) was beyond our expectations. Our BM was Ken, and answered any questions we had during the planning process. The day of, David was our Maitre'D and Angie was my bridal attendant. They really took care of us, and we couldn't have asked for better treatment. I would recommend Fox Hollow to any bride.

Our venue was expertly prepared for both our ceremony and reception. Everything went smoothly, no issues or drama. Samir (maitre'd) and Courtney (bridal attendant) were very helpful and kept our event moving. They were attentive and professional, but without being overly pushy...they let us enjoy our reception. We could not have asked for a better day. We would not change a thing if we had to do it over! Thank you for a memorable night!
