LI-Good-Time

Having LI Good Times at my recent wedding was the best decision we made for our special day! When we first met with the owner Steve, we discussed all of the services we wanted in detail. First, Steve provided the most romantic music for our Ceremony. The reception area was complimented with custom ambient lighting with colors that matched the bridal party. The dj played all of our requests and had people dancing the entire evening! Last minute we were able to add the zap shot photography service which was great because I already have photos to show my co workers and friends who couldn't make it to my wedding. Overall Steve and his crew at LI Good Times made our wedding day a huge success!

Overall I was very very pleased with DJ Steve and his crew! They did such a fantastic job at our wedding reception. My wedding was rushed and he was available and able to fulfill all my last minute requests. I was always able to reach Steve for any questions and changes I needed done. Everyone from his team showed up early, were dressed nicely and were very professional. The setup was more than we expected for the price that we paid. His performance and his attitude was simply amazing. Not only did he provide awesome entertainment, but he also ensured that he kept us right on schedule!! We were able to enjoy our wedding stress free. Our weddind was a great success!! We are so happy to have found such an outgoing, professional and personable DJ. Thanks for the happy memories!!!!

Where do I begin? First off, the DJ we booked, Steve, decided he would not be our DJ. He would only be the MC that night. This was not explained to us at all. He was advertised as a DJ, we picked him based off a family member's wedding that we saw him DJ at and he was the only one who communicated with me via email throughout 10 months of planning. So much went wrong, it actually makes me sad to think of it. We picked out songs for all the parents’ intros and he used techno music instead. When we came out, he kept our intro song going for an additional 2 minutes so we sort of just stood on the dancefloor awkwardly. He played the wrong version of our wedding song….he got the artist wrong, which devastated us. My husband still says he never got his first dance with me. He basically completely disregarded our playlist. For the first 20 minutes, nothing but techno and dance remixes played. My guests actually pointed out how completely out of place that was for a "Toni & Mark" wedding! And also how unbearably loud the music was. He had light shows going that I specifically did not ask for. When he was asked to cut those lights by my father, he ignored that request. My wedding felt like some dirty NJ club! Our playlist was very specific, but nothing too out there. We just wanted the music to represent US and to also relate to the date we chose (before Halloween!). We also filled out a packet that LI Good Times gives to each client that gave them a good idea of our tastes. I spent so much time planning out the music and to have them not give it a second thought pissed me off. I had to escape to the bridal suite to calm down early in the night. Steve told my uncle he forgot the playlist at home and his excuse for playing the completely out of place club music was because “people don’t like to eat salads, so I wanted to get them up and dancing”. He played a 50s/60s mashup that completely killed the mood for all the younger folks (*ahem* the bride and groom too). I was honestly bored at my own wedding! At one point, our maitre’d, Tina, brought over a PRINTED COPY OF OUR PLAYLIST and told us to mark off every song we wanted played….. We wanted all of them played!!!! Why else did I give this list to him!? And if he had it the entire time, why wasn't he using it!?!?!?!? The million dollar question! To make a long story short, Steve was spoken to 5 different times and nothing changed until the last ½ hour of the night. By that time, the speaker kept giving off loud feedback noises and they were doing odd things like starting one song and 15-20 seconds into it, shutting it off and starting another song. They were so disorganized, it was embarrassing. They waited until the tail end of the night to play the parent dance songs, by that time most people went home. And they didn’t play the thank you song that we wanted played for the parents…even though my husband specifically reminded him to! Our last dance song was “All is Love”… the DJ played “One Love”. I’ve calmed down now, but that night I was so furious, I could cry. I did contact Steve the next day…. He blamed everything on the DJ! He also blamed it on my venue because there was a party going on earlier that day.....he must have limited experience dealing with weddings, so shame on me for booking with him. My MIL plans to take him to small claims court. She had no idea THAT much went wrong the day of and unfortunately paid him anyway (no tip though!). With my package, came “zap shots”. The way Steve first explained it to me, it was to my understanding that their photographer would stick to taking pictures only on the dancefloor and some surrounding guest shots. The zap shots photog was all over the room! I was told to expect up to 250+ pictures that would go up on the tv screen and cycle through..... first, they had a problem getting it to work. Then, the SAME 25 or so pictures cycled through over and over and over! I'll see what happens when/if I receive my disc of pictures from that! Overall, my advice to couples would be to please stay away from this vendor. I want to save you from all the aggravation I had to experience ON my wedding day! We're so heartbroken he could not get anything right...its still unbelievable that our entertainment that night turned into such an embarrassing failure. Book someone with YEARS and YEARS of experience and an amazing reputation!

I cannot say enough good things about LI Good Times! They filled in all the little things that I never would've thought of! They put me at ease, I danced all night! Not just because it was my wedding, but it was the best wedding I have ever been to - KS

I was the maid of honor for my sister's wedding recently. I assisted in the wedding planning which included the music. LI Good Times did both the ceremony and the reception. They were very professional and gave outstanding customer service. I was very impressed on our helpful the staff was throughout the planning. Even on the day of the wedding I had change the schedule from what we provided and they were willing to be helpful. We added the candid photos and TVs to the DJ package. The photos came out great. The photographer even went beyond any request we wanted quickly. They made my sister's wedding day very special! It was great dealing with a DJ company that is open minded, professional and easy to work with.

Steve was incredibly easy to work with, and did exactly what I requested. I could not have been happier. His services cost much less than competitors, and what he delivered was far superior. He brought a 2 person team, arrived well in advance, coordinated many complicated last minute requests, played all of my favorite songs, and all without my having to do anything but sit back and enjoy my wedding day. Everything went so smoothly I was astonished. I had several friends who wanted to sing/play saxophone or guitar, and he coordinated everything with them and the reception hall. I had to do very little because he took care of it all. His style must be very flexible, as he can do whatever you want. I asked for a very classy low key announcement, and that is exactly what I got. I would strongly recommend Steve at LIGoodTimes to everyone!

I was AMAZED on how this company treated us. I was sooooo happy in hiring LI Good Times. There's not enough words that I can write/express on how are our day was. The owner was a blast to deal with and was soooo eagered to help listen and help us with our wedding reception. We brought there combo package of DJ and zap shots. They played our music, they weren't annoying in the volume and took appropriate request from our guests. The girl who was assisting him with the zap shot was a great photographer. She had alot of patience and took awesome photos. We were on a budget and did zap shot and didn't hire an expensive photographer..whew!! I'm happy that everything worked out...friendly staff and awesome prices... - Happy customer!!

Couldn't be more happy with our DJ!! We had the owner Steve, DJ/MC our wedding. Whata nice guy and catered to our requests all the way. I was very picky in my selection since I'm latin and love dancing sooo much. The music was awesome!! The workers at the venue gave them awesome reviews and so did we. The prices was EXCELLENT since we were on a tight budget. They were affordable.

We were both very pleased with this Dj company. They were very friendly and had great customer service. They actually listened to what we requested for our wedding. The price was very affordable and are thankful that our wedding music was a great success. I would recommend this business.

This DJ was AWFUL!!! Don't waste your time!!
