Chef Marney helped me create a groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner. Working with her was such a pleasure. She responded quickly to the my initial email and every email after that. We had a tasting at my house with three cakes and then worked with me to have the cake taste just like a rainbow cookie (my husband's favorite) and had a movie theme. When we arrived to the rehearsal dinner the cake was all set up and it was gorgeous! Exactly what I had described to her and the taste ... was out of this world. Everyone enjoyed it! Included the people at the restaurant! It was such a pleasure to work with her and hope to do so again in the future!

After designing and creating my sister's wedding cake (a true masterpiece), I immediately reached out to Marney to create my wedding cake after I got engaged. Not only is Marney a true artist and master cake designer, she is one of the most professional, creative, thorough and dependable people I have ever worked with (I have worked in Special Events for over 10 years).Marney exceeded all expectations when she created my dream wedding cake and I look forward to the opportunity to work with her again on other cake designs. Marney was extremely easy to work with. The cake was delicious and looked amazing. We live in Chicago so we had to do most of our communication via email and Marney was able to create our vision perfectly. We would definitely recommend Marney's cakes to anyone who needs a cake for any occasion, not just weddings!

Marney made two beautiful vegan wedding cakes for us! Marney was a pleasure to work with and was always prompt in her response to e-mails. She was very accommodating every step of the way and tried to ensure that we got the best possible cakes. Everything was absolutely beautiful and several guests told me how delicious they thought the cakes were and these guests were not vegan. Marney did an excellent job and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a unique wedding cake.

Marney from Marneycakes created our beautiful wedding cake. The first time we met with Marney, she was warm, welcoming, and excited to be part of our special day. Marney worked with us to come up with the perfect design- which really defined our "vineyard" themed wedding. She is so creative and has such an eye for design! Needless to say, when we finally saw the finished piece on our wedding day, we were totally taken back. It was perfect! Marney is so very talented. Our cake not only looked magnificent, but tasted just that! My favorite flavor was the carrot cake painted with Bailey's Irish Cream! Marney White is a Cake Master and Wedding Cake Master bar none! My husband and I met with her almost two years before our wedding date. She was creative, patient, passionate, upbeat and professional. We sampled a number of different cake, filling and icing combinations. Each one was just as extraordinary as the last one we sampled. They were so good, we could not make a choice. I came up with a solution: with Marney's assurance that she could keep my wedding colors and favorite flowers in mind, we asked her to design and bake our wedding cake from her own creative imagination -- complete with gumpaste flowers. We did not see our wedding cake until right before the beginning of our ceremony...what an outstanding and overwhelming sight to behold! Our cake was "the stuff that dreams are made of"! Marney incorporated our wedding colors and my favorite flowers in gumpaste, together with her own design and three distinct layers utilizing different cake types and flavors to die for! All of our guests -- including our Caterer and his staff -- were amazed by the simplicity and beauty of the cake and by how moist, light and flavorful it was. Everyone said that they had neither seen nor tasted a cake like this one before! Given Marney's amazing talent and all the awards which she has won for her unique and outstanding confectionary creations, it is even more amazing how approachable, humble, responsive and professional she is. She is neither a "diva" nor a "food snob"...she is just Marney, your next door neighborhood baker! My husband, Robert, and I would just like to thank her again for her responsiveness, patience, reassurance, and flexibility...she also created a New York Yankees' baseball groom's cake for him! And you will never find another master baker like Marney who really gives you a bang for your buck with her awesome creative confections! Thank you Marney for making such a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. Our guests devoured the cake. Some of the comments from the guests were that the cake tasted "real" and that they hadn't tasted icing so good since they were a kid! My favorite cake of all time is now officially your Mexican Hot Chocolate cake. My Mom loved the vanilla. We thought it was so sweet and professional of you to add an extra tier at the last minute just to get the proportions right. And the sugar flowers on top were beautiful. You take a lot of pride in your work and it really shows. Weddings can be so stressful, it meant a lot to us that we could really trust you to do a great job. Thank you Marney!

Marney was such a huge part of our Beach Wedding. After first meeting Marney, she was beyond enthusiastic about our Wedding and the various other cakes that she had supplied my family, including my niece's first birthday cake. Each cake is customized with the utmost professionalism and care. Aside from the quality of the cake, she literally comes "door to door." It is really helpful while planning any party, especially a wedding, to have someone come to you. Throughout the entire process, I feel like she literally became part of the family and even went as far as having a cutomized charm made for my bouquet in memory of my Father. There are so many things that I could say to try and persuade you, but honestly, her work and dedication speak for themselves. Trust me, THIS IS THE CAKE YOU WANT!!! I had gone to several bakers in search of a true buttercream that used natural products. This was literally the only one! My wedding cake was devoured by my more than ecstatic guests...there wasn't a single piece remaining AND we had more than 50 extra slices. Marney is such a sweetheart. I loved working with her, she was patient and answered all of the questions, helped me pick out the boxes and cupcake wrappers when I had a million questions. She even spent time with my mom and father in law answering their questions at a second tasting she invited them to while at a charity event. She made everything super easy. She even came to my in-laws house a couple of days before the wedding to pick up the favor tags and cupcake boxes to save me a trip to her house to drop them off. The day of, the cupcakes were delivered on time and looked perfect and gorgeous. I got a ton of compliments from people saying the cupcakes were delicious, even from my very picky Father in Law who keeps raving about how tasty they were to this day. I highly recommend her and would use her again in the future.

Our cake was beautiful and elegant. We had only about 30 people and the size recommended was perfect with leftovers to boot! I only requested the flavors and a general description of what I wanted, and Marneycakes did the rest. I wouldn't have changed a thing! And best of all was the taste! Delicate yet flavorful. Our guests all seemed to enjoy it :)I would recommend Marneycakes to anyone looking for a delicious cake made with quality ingredients, and that looks beautiful!

Marney is a wonderful person and a wonderful talent!! She creates the most BEAUTIFUL cakes! Marney provided me with my bridal shower cake and not only did it look unbelievable, it tasted just as fabulous!! The filling was amazing (my mom and sister planned my shower but I believe the filling was mostly almond cream with a hint of rose petal). The cake itself was white and had beautiful, delicate, baby pink rose petals on top, made of gumpaste. It looked perfect in the setting of my bridal shower (The Country House in Stony Brook). This cake was DELICIOUS and GORGEOUS - I highly recommend Marneycakes for your party, shower or wedding!!!

Marney was an abolute delight to work with! She created my vision of my wedding cake that was beyond my expectations-I almost didn't want to cut into it!! My gluten free smoosh cake was delicious as was the regular wedding cake for the rest of my guests. All of our wedding guests didn't stop commenting on how beautiful (and scrumptious) the cake was! Looking forward to working with Marney in the future.

Marney made me the most awesome Grooms Cake - all chocolate Harley Davidson. He was in complete shock. Marney was always quick to respond and so helpful in putting together the flavors, etc.

I required a vegan wedding cake for my wedding and what Marney came up with was amazing! I had the coconut cake, and even my friend, who does not like fresh coconut, loved it! We ate it for 3 days, then went away for 2 weeks so we froze some of it and when we got back i defrosted it and when i ate it, it tasted just as good as our wedding night!! Marney was very easy to work with and quick to respond, even though we were working via email from different countries and different time zones, i would definitely deal with Marney again! yummmmm

Our wedding was about a year ago so unfortunately my memory isn't as fresh. I will say that Marney's cakes were the best I've ever tasted. You can't go wrong with any icing and filling combination she has to offer. My personal favorite has to be the neapolitan with the vanilla icing. One great thing that Marney offers is she will provide a tasting at your house with several sample cakes. I don't think any other baker we've asked has this service. Plus the samples are great! There's plenty to try out and no rush to decide. We had a few friends and relatives over and it was a small cake party.Overall, I highly recommend Marney's cakes to anyone planning a wedding, birthday, etc. You will be very pleased with the quality, taste, attention to detail and service.

Marney put so much time, effort, care and attention to making the perfect cake for our wedding. We came across Marneycakes by accident online but we could not have had a luckier find. Marney was gracious and happy to accommodate all of our tasting requests, the many different cake and filling flavors she offers are so amazing, it was difficult to choose. Marney only relies on high quality fresh and natural ingredients for her cakes, which was really important to us. she was such a pleasure to work with, nothing was too much trouble. She understood exactly what we wanted and effortlessly created the most beautiful wedding cake. Everyone commented on how delicious it tasted and as testament to this we had about 60 in attendance and the cake accommodated 80, not a slice was left! We highly recommend Marneycakes our expectations were not only exceeded, they were completely blown away!

Working with Marney was exceptional - she was very flexible and gracious, and definitely knows how to make an AMAZING cake. We had alternating tiers and both were so scrumptious!! Many of the guests commented on how delicious and beautiful our cake looked (and tasted). If I were having a wedding every month I would definitely ask Marney to make my cake! She also made two coffee cakes for the morning of the wedding so that everyone who visited the bridal suite could taste the magic. Truly wonderful - we'll definitely work with her again!
