Peter Forman Photography

Peter is an amazing photographer. We told him generally what we were looking for, and without any further guidance or management he fulfilled all of our expectations far better than we ever could have hoped. If you're looking for quality photography instead of standard assembly-line portrait photos, look no further than Peter Forman. Peter has already received rave reviews from our guests and wedding party, and we could not recommend him strongly enough to anyone looking for a photographer.

Peter forman is a wonderful photographer with such an incredible eye for what makes a great picture. My husband and I were so happy to have him do a 'day after wedding' photo shoot for us. We went to Central Park and the pictures came out absolutely beautiful. We are so lucky that we have gorgeous pictures in a different location other than the wedding venue - they make for some really beautiful artisitc pieces. Peter was so easy to work with; he really makes you feel very comfortable infront of the camera. I love his pictures because they don't look staged - everything seems very natural. My husband and I were extremely please with the same the pictures came out; we loved working with Peter - we'd recommend him to anyone looking for a great photographer!

We are so happy that we chose Peter as the photographer for our wedding. He was incredibly patient and truly listened to what we wanted style wise. We had many phone conversations where we discussed strategy for the best shots and Peter was very receptive to any idea we had or any request. Peter was also one of the few vendors who actually got back to us quickly whenever we had a question – we got married during “busy season” and a lot of our vendors ignored us because of other weddings until we were the “wedding of the week.” All that put aside, our picture came out STUNNING. I get so much joy from looking at them over and over again. I have a very close friend who is also a very talented professional photographer and she was blown away with the quality of Peter’s work. I cannot believe some of the moments that were captured – looking through I remembered so many fun times that I would have otherwise forgotten had they not been captured perfectly. What was also unbelievable is that these moments were captured almost stealthily. Peter does not use ladders and huge lights that disrupt the party, and we were almost not aware that he was in the action recording everything for us. The hardest part now is just choosing which images to put in our album, since there are just so many amazing pictures!!

I would highly recommend Peter Forman. He did an exceptional job at our daughters wedding . The pictures were all great. My daughter and son in law are having a tough time choosing pictures for their album because they are all so good.Peter always got back to us very quickly and has a great personality. You can't go wrong with Peter Forman.

Peter did an excellent job of capturing our wedding day. He was great at communicating with us throughout the day without being obtrusive but capturing every moment. The pictures were fantastic, very professional work!

Peter shot our wedding in April 2011 on the east end of Long Island. He was accommodating about meeting us a number of times over the six-month period leading up to our wedding day. He took time to do preparation on his own, going out to locations in advance to find good backgrounds for various set-up pictures. During the wedding day, Peter and his assistant, Paolo, were very unobtrusive and accommodating to changing ideas we had on the fly. He was laid-back and funny, yet took time to get formal shots, and also used his judgement to capture many candid shots we were amazed to see. The night ended with a bonfire, which Peter took as an opportunity to experiment with his camera to get some memorable photos. Peter’s attention to detail and affable personality made him a great photographer to work with. He treated our photos with great care and used his artistic touch to make them stand out. All we have left to do is try and narrow them down for an album!

Peter is not only an AWESOME photographer, but he is a pretty cool guy too. Planning my wedding from half way across the country, Peter was willing to meet me when I could make it and answer all of my hundreds of questions. Picking Peter to do our pictures was probably the easiest and best decision we made for our wedding. He captured all of the best moments at the wedding and made it look effortless. Peter even took us on a tour of NYC for a day after shoot which I could not have been happier with. We officially have the best wedding pictures of anyone I know, and wouldn't change a thing about them! He truly is a master of his work and amazingly accommodating to the needs/wants of the bride and groom. I can't thank him enough!!

Peter was fantastic. He was happy to get as many formals as required, but also captured every moment in a true photojournalistic manner. Everyone has commented how our engagement photos were the best they had seen, and the wedding photos topped them. Every step of the way he was unobtrusive and remained out of the way of the guests but managed to catch every moment...even moments we didn't know occurred. I highly recommend Peter for his talent, professionalism, and for being extremely easy to work with.

Peter Forman is, to put it simply, the guy you want!! I couldn't imagine anyone else shooting our wedding. I met with and spoke to other photographers. Photographers with impressive resumes, just like Peter's, but there was something different about him from the first moment we spoke. Peter was the most professional and accomodating photographer we'd encountered, and not because he travelled from Locust Valley to Port Jefferson to meet with us one night because that was easier for us! Peter was willing and able to work with us and any of our requests. Shortly after meeting him, I think we both agreed that he was the guy we wanted!! He is an accomplished and technical photographer (which to the bride means that he is equipped to make the most out of the worst photography situations- weather, low light, etc.) When he shot my fiance and I, he new exactly to to put us at ease, and exactly how to make us look our best in each photo. We could not have been happier with our photos or the photographer who took them! Trust this bride, who researched everything from venues to napkins...PETER FORMAN IS THE GUY YOU WANT!!!

Peter did our engagement photos in NYC at Highline Park (amazing spot) in October 2010. He was a pleasure to work with, its nice when you can work with someone who makes you feel comfortable and like you have known them for years. He has an natural ability to capture what you are thinking. When we got the proofs we were definitely very pleased!!! Peter is a A++++ in our book and we highly recommend him!!!

Beautiful Photos!Throughout our entire wedding planning process, Peter was the only vendor that we were 100% confident with our choice. He is incredibly professional yet thoughtful and approachable. Peter, with such a keen eye for detail, was able to capture all of our wedding day memories, including the smallest details that we didn't notice the day of!

everything we could have hoped for posted 12/3/2010Peter was amazing! truly and honestly. I ( the bride) found Peter on the knot website. As the first in the family to get married, this whole experience was new to all of us (family, friends, etc). I wasn't sure what to expect with any vendors, and had heard horror stories, so I did a ton of research before contacting anyone. I contacted a number of photographers, and Peter was by far the only one who really seemed to care about my husband and I. He was always accessible to us, met us for coffee during the different steps towards the wedding to explain things, and even went to the venue with us a week before the wedding for two to three hours, just to familiarize himself with the place, as well as where we wanted certain shots. As far as price point is concerned, Peter definitely provided us with a great value. We had two photographers for 9 hours, and received close to 2000 photos (possibly more!), for less than what other vendors were asking (and with twice as much care/concern for my husband and I). The day of the wedding, Peter (and Ian) were more than excellent. Ian spent the day with the boys, while Peter stayed with me and the girls. Their approach was more candid shots than posed ones, which is what we asked for. Peter was friendly with guests and bridal party alike, even dancing with some people! He and Ian were both very professional, while also fitting in perfectly to the party. We got the pictures back in a timely fashion (4-6 weeks I think), and they were gorgeous. Peter went through and edited them all, and also provided them all to us in both color and black and white. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone. :) If I could post a picture here to show how amazing he is, I would!

If you are fortunate enough to secure Peter as your wedding photographer, you will be forever happy and pleased with your choice. His work ethic is a driving force that fuels all couples to leave their worries with him so the couple is free to enjoy their event. His images are superior, creative and he takes multitudes of pictures. There is no need to worry about the important shots as they will all be in your proof folder. He quietly shoots and is not intrusive. His work flow allows for timely and quick turn-around for viewing. With a fresh attitude and creative ideas, Peter will do an outstanding job for you. Book early though so you may get your date. You won't be disappointed.

Peter is an accomplished photographer who has the ability to capture the moment in just the right way. From capturing Maria's reaction to my proposal, at 10,000 feet at Breckenridge's Peak 7 while hidden in a grove of trees 50 yards away, to recording all the emotion of the day of our wedding day, Peter was there. His unobtrusive style provided us with fantastic images that tell our story just the way it happened. We treasure the images he gave us and enthusiastically recommend him to everyone we know!

Peter truly made our engagement photo day an experience we both will never forget. He made us both feel very comfortable in front of the camera, which is hard to do. We had such a blast the whole day hanging out with him and by the end of the day it felt like he was our best friend. Our photos turned out better then we both expected because Peter truly captured the real us! Peter gave us the experience that every couple hopes to have and the pictures every couple dreams to be in!

We were hoping to hire Peter to shoot our wedding because we wanted to work with someone whose work we already knew and we were not disappointed! He was professional, yet thoughtful, both when preparing for our wedding and during the event itself. The turnaround time to see our photos was surprisingly speedy, and the entire partnership - start to finish - was better than we ever could have hoped for!
