Went to shop for a wedding dress here this Saturday. First of all, they don't take appt's which makes it a free for all. Second of all, they keep the dresses in plastic bags on display, which doesnt make it easy to see the details of the dress. Third of all, the place is small and the fitting area is too close together and there's no space to be comfortable. You can't take photographs which was important to my mother and should be part of the experience. And lastly, my best friend of 10 years is male and homosexual; which we explained. He's part of the wedding party and wasn't allowed in to the fitting room (which I was fine with) but then they stated he had to stay in the open area and I had to run back and forth. Then the employees were complaining that he was in the way. The manager came over and they had words and didn't fix the issue. Definitely wasn't a pleasant experience, customer service sucked. They did not get my business as I went to Wedding World which was so much better.

The only good thing I can say about this place is the price. They had the lowest prices on all the dresses. However, they never called when the bridesmaid dresses and my mother in laws dress came in. Every time you go in there the owner tries to shove his services down your throat, and he did so until the day before my wedding. The alteration department did a fabulous job on my dress, yet 6 out of 7 brdesmaid dresses were totally screwed up. And 2 days before the wedding they had to rush to fix it! I would recommend getting the dresses there (maybe) but I would definitely take them elsewhere to be altered

When I went to the Wedding Center to look for bridesmaid dresses they practically threw a couple books at me and said pick them out of these books and tell me which you want to try on. I started looking through the books and then started to pick out dresses then every one I picked they said they didn't have or were discontinued. Then they said that I could only pick ones that had stars next to them. That would have been helpful to know before I went though all of the books. They lady had a very nasty attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. I then went up to the dept that does flowers which was more expensive than most of the private florists in the area. I would not recommend this vendor.

Would definitely agree with most brides reviewing the Wedding Center. I came to find out about the Wedding Center through a bridal expo i went to. @ the expo, they had a beautiful dress on display. Couldn't get it off my mind for days, so i went back to purchase it. The owner pries on being a one stop shop, and HOUNDED me for him to do my photography, videography, etc. Yes the price is cheap, but you will get what you pay for. After seeing the same video replay over and over again in their store of his daughters wedding, (How about showing someone else's??) immediately told him I had all my grounds covered! They should really focus on one area, and perfect that. When I purchased the dress, I asked them to send me a swatch of the dress, b/c it was IVORY, and wanted to match it up with the flowers, and Tuxes, etc. After 3 months, nothing.. I called them up , and they told me, they don't do such things for wedding dresses. I was appalled when they told me that my dress was in China anyways. It really bothered me when it came in after almost 5 months!- and was told I had to bring it home until it was time for my fittings. I refused to bring it home, risking getting it damaged in the transport. The lady "politely" told me that if I saw the condition of the dress when it comes in, I would be shocked. (in a tiny box) - great to know I'm spending over $1000 on something from china. I loved how they had comparison photos when you walk in the door: scam artists. The real problem came from alterations!!!! the alterations department is in a SMELLY basement across the street.. NO AIR CONDITIONER! and MOLD!! if you do decide to get your dress from here: go elsewhere for alterations!! the lady is nasty, and unhelpful! she rushes through the alterations. Alterations were overpriced for the type of service!

I couldnt believe the owner and his attitude when I was suppose to get a discount that they promised me. They deleted the 100 dollar discount on accessories I was suppose to receive when I ordered my dress it was a good thing I kept the printout from them. My dress did come in fast and their alterations dept did an amazing job but I would not send anyone there because the owner is the biggest jerk. He even called me and my fiance a liar and charged us more for alterations then was written by the seamstress and their cap was a joke cost me almost double to just pin the top and take in a little (which wasnt the seamstresses fault she wrote the cap and the owner charged me more).

These people have many gowns to try on, so they take advantage. The service is terrible. DO NOT GET YOUR ALTERATIONS DONE THERE!!! They make you get dresses that are 2 sizes to big and then charge you an arm and a leg to get them altered. They don't even do a good job. My dress had ELASTIC put into the waistline. It was hideous, they top of the gown did not fit correctly. This is not the first time wedding center has done this. We called them for price matches and they do not return calls. Good luck with this place but they do have good prices for everything and the photographer is not bad.

At the wedding center i was able to find a beautiful dress off the rack at a discounted price. Lucy did my alterations that day on the spot. She knew i was getting married in 3 weeks and was able to squeeze me in. I was able to go back a week later and get my dress.. I love my gown.

The wedding center is an all go to place and partner up with local vendors to give you discounts in case no one really knew what they are about. They are great for favors- their prices are reasonable and come wrapped very nicely! I give them great reviews for favors as well as their partnership with a wonderful FLORIST. Our Florist (Jackie's in Maspeth, NY) is pretty incredible and so reasonable in terms of the price-please take a look at the pictures I will attach. My regret is not have chosen them for my invitations, photography and videography (their prices were well within reason and quality is there). I also bought my veil here- however, they are a bit more expensive when it comes to wedding attire. I would not recommend for transportation, their partnership with a local transportation service did not know the area and asked us for directions the day of. I particularly enjoyed working only with one of the managers there- he works in the photography area- I cannot recall his name. The rest of the sales associates there are not very friendly. The reason why I put professionalism as a 3.5 is because the sales associates weren't too interested in helping when it gets super busy and this obviously reduces the quality of service provided.

My experience with them was overall awful. The first time I visited I bought gorgeous but overpriced earrings which I have no regrets about. My dealings with the tux department was SO negative. Also, the owner would not match our quote from a videographer even though they claim they beat prices.

If you are looking to get your favorite wedding dress and/or Bridesmaid dress at a reasonable price this is the right place for you. When I found the wedding dress that I loved I called the wedding center and they were able to give me the price I wanted. Keep in mind that this place is not known for quality service. Bridal Reflections can sell you the same dress for a lot more money but make you feel like a princess. The wedding center will not provide that service. They don't care who comes walking in the door. They pay THE LEAST amount of attention. If you are the type of person that likes good service and wants to take your time to put together the best wedding look my advice is for you to pay more and go to Bridal Reflections or a boutique. Trust me, you will not get that treatment at the wedding center. You will be invisible. The ladies that work in the Bridesmaids department are not knowledgable at all. They don't know designers that well, they don't know what looks best on you, they sit and chat about random things and they don't seem to enjoy their jobs. Their computer system is outdated and most of the ladies don't really know how to work it. There is only one lady that tends to know what she is talking about (short brown hair and glasses) When she is not there its messy. The lady with the short red hair is a disaster. I truly don't know why she is even working there. She creates more problems for them. The receptionists tend to have an attitude (actually they all tend to have an attitude). We got our dresses altered there as well. That was tourture, we did not leave the place until all of our dresses were fixed to perfection. They cut my mother's dress too short and they don't pay attention to detail. Once again, if you are looking for good service I would not go to the Wedding Center. You should purchase your gown there if you are looking to save. However, don't ask for advice and don't assume that they will help you. Get in and get out. Have the gown fixed at a different location. Trust me. I spent too many days arguing on the phone and visiting that place.

Company did not call me to go over times as they said they would before the wedding. Videographer was very nice, but was not waiting outside church when I arrived and missed the entrance of the girls. Price is reasonable, quality of DVD pretty good.

I would never recommend this store to anyone. We ordered all of my bridesmaid dresses and my mothers dress through them. They were wonderful when shopping for my mothers dress the nightmare came with the bridesmaids. They could care less if you were there or not. I went with the seperates for the girls so they could all pick out pretty much what they wanted and they would still all match. 2 of them came in wrong and had to be returned then my maid of honors dress came in not once, not twice, but three times in the wrong color!! Same problem every time. By the 3rd time they stopped blaming the manufacturer and started saying it was my fault for not matching up the colors. This is 1 week before my wedding, I finally just had to deal with the color variation so I wouldn't have to deal with them any longer. Horrible so unprofessional not for a bride to be that has any questions because they don't help you at all!!!

We used The Wedding Center for all of my bridesmaid dresses and the groom/groomsmen/brother and father of the groom tuxedos but The Wedding Center definitely provides everything that anyone would need for a wedding. This is one of those places where the statement "don't judge a book by its cover" is extremely appropriate. It does not look like a wedding related place and is a completely unexceptional from the outside. At first the groom refused to go into the place because he felt that there was no way they had what he wanted. The same reaction I had when I intially saw the place, but we were both wrong. Despite what they looked like on the outside, they had a large selection of bridesmaid dresses from various designers and a good selection of tuxedos and the related accessories. Each of my bridesmaids was able to try on many different styles of dresses from the designer I picked out, each had a different dress. Each was able to find a dress that she wanted within my preferred guidelines. The men were able to find the tuxedos that they liked and accessories that would complement the bridesmaids and men well from the variety that they had.The staff at the tuxedo rentals and bridesmaid section were all pleasant, efficient, and well organized. They promptly let us know when all the items arrived, were ready for tailoring and pick up. On the day of the wedding the tuxedos were as requested; neat, properly tailored, clean, and labeled (so that each knew their tuxedo). The bridesmaid dresses were altered elsewhere but arrived just as requested and appeared in the store. The prices were definitely competive for the bridesmaids dresses and tuxedos, service was good and it's worth at least checking out.

I would never reccomend this place. They are too busy to give the personal attention to a bride. My dress was ordered, it came in after 4 months. I arrive to pick up and it's still in the shrink wrap. The attendant was flipping out that "the girl in the warehouse" "was supposed to inspect these things!". Of course there was damage to my dress! A giant 10" black line down the back, and beading was loose and falling all over the floor. I never even got to try it on. I was told it was going back to the manufacturer as it was "unacceptable" and it was to be expedited. 2 months (!!!) later I get a call it's in. I arrive and it was the same EXACT situation!! Still uninspected in the shrink wrap, still has a pencil line, beads still falling off. This time I was not as understanding. Of course I said at this time I did not want that dress and I wanted a new one ordered because no one could be trusted. I was told that the "chinese girls" didn't always understand and that's why the repair wasn't done! That's sooo not my problem, but the Wedding Center made it that way! I was then told that the designer did not have my size available. I was offered the next larger size up and they would size it to my size (all this before the alterations). I said that was unacceptable! I was then told, 6 weeks before my wedding that I could have my money back! Who says that to the bride?!?! I couldn't even get "Bob" the owner on the line, just a bunch of ladies that would constantly put me on hold and play telephone back and forth. At the end of the day a dress my size conveiently showed up. In my honest opinion I feel that they had cleaned and repaired the original dress. When I arrived to pick it up the owner, had the audacity to throw another dress vendor under the bus, telling me a story about how unprofessional they are and how The Wedding Center was the best. Yeah, right, and the moon is made of cheese. If they had just offered to clean & repair the dress in the first place I would have been fine with that. This is my first (and only) wedding dress I will ever buy, I don't know how they ship, alter, inspect or treat dresses. I don't care, I should never have been treated the way I was. I am not a bridezilla, I am not a diva. I just wanted my dress, and I didn't want it broken for the money I was spending. I was understanding and patient until I was forced to show my dissapointment. The Wedding Center = BIG FAT NO!

They were great when my mother and I went shopping for our dresses. Very attentive and helpful. However, the department for the bridesmaids dresses was terrible! They could not be bothered to help and were very rude. I also got my invitations there and they were helpful with those. I guess it really depends on what you plan to use them for. The downstairs area (for tuxs and bridesmaids) was awful....

Easy to see dresses; 100s of choices no apointment needed. As for my bridesmaids easy great selection, but NOT flexible at all. My maid of honor lives in MA and they gave me a super hard time about her not getting measured at the same time as the others.

We used the Wedding Center for our invitations. The store can be very busy, and at times it is hard to get a sales associate to assist you. We waited for a few minutes, and I told the associate the type of invitation that I was looking for. She automatically knew of some invitations to show me, and I immediately found one that I liked. They had very affordable prices, and took a discount off of the listed price by the company. They helped with the wording, which was very important for me, since I have divorced parents, and wanted to give all parents the proper respect. I was especially pleased that the invitations came in only about a week. I could not believe that they were so prompt! We decided not to get them to do the envelopes because we found a better deal elsewhere, but they do that as well. I was very pleased with the services, if you can make an appointment.
